In Memory: Richard Dean Conn Sr.
Richard Dean Conn, Sr., 92, passed away May 6, 2017 at home with his wife Dorothy at his side. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Dick’s life at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, May 11, at Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church, where Dick was a member, 28901 NE Colbern Road, Lake Lotawana, MO 64086. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, May 12, at the Tuscumbia Cemetery, Tuscumbia, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Ararat Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund, 5100 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, MO 64129 or to Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church.

Dick was born November 4, 1924, in Tipton, MO. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Dick was an embalmer and funeral director and operated the Conn Funeral Home in Tipton for 50 years. Dick was past Master of Tipton Masonic Lodge and currently a member of Granite Lodge in Sedalia. He was a member of the Scottish and York Rites and Ararat Shrine Temple. At Ararat, Dick was a member of the Legion of Honor, as well as Blue Springs, Lotawana, Grandview and Sedalia Shrine Clubs.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, brother and step son. He leaves his wife, Dorothy Anderson-Conn; stepchildren, Rick and Linda; grandson, Corben; twin nieces and their families.
