In Memory: Ralph L. Dye
Ralph L. Dye, 91 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at his home. Born Monday, August 3, 1925 in Knoxville, Missouri, he was the son of the late Ralph Dye, Sr. and the late Forrestine Rainwater Dye. He lived most of his life in Higginsville. He married Mazie Lou Chunn in 1945 and she preceded him in death in 1986. He married Thelma Smith in 1996 and she survives of the home. Ralph was a heavy equipment operator in Kansas City. MO. He then farmed until he retired in 2014. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Higginsville Masonic Lodge, Shrine Temple in Kansas City, MO, and a founding member of the Flying Fez. Surviving are son, Ralph Martin (Doris) Dye of Warrensburg, MO; one daughter, Linda Lou Endicott of Warrensburg; two step sons, Dennis (Pamela) Norris of Camden, MO, Dwight (Judy) Norris of Independence, MO; one brother, John D. Dye of Calhoun, MO; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday February 19, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Fine officiating, Marsha Madole, organist and Dennis Million, vocalist. Interment will be in City Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Hoefer Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 5PM, Memorial contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church or Shriner's Hospital. Casket bearers are John Dye, Bob Owen, Terry McCormick, Noel Galloway, Richard Ryun and Steve Goodman. Honorary bearers are Dennis Knipmeyer and Ken Buchanan.
